10 Best Dr. Mike Israetel Podcasts (You Shouldn’t Miss)

Everyone gets excited whenever they know their favorite actors perform their own stunts, especially when I’m talking about Tom Cruise. But it doesn’t come without years of disciplined training, calculated risks, expert guidance, and, most importantly, fitness.

Remember, there are no free lunches, no shortcuts, or overnight transformations, only science-backed strategies and consistent efforts can change someone. That’s exactly what Dr. Mike Israetel talks about in his powerful podcast appearances.

In each podcast, he talks about fitness myths, muscle growth, TRT, fat loss, and much more. However, due to my busy life, watching each podcast is a bit harder. So, in this post, I summarized his most powerful and impactful podcasts on YouTube.

1. Joe Rogan & Mike Israetel: The Truth About Fitness & TRT

This podcast is one of the most popular on YouTube, a conversation between two legends, Joe Rogan and Mike Israetel. In this podcast, they both talk about fitness philosophies and discuss the key aspects of fitness training, diet, and testosterone.

The main talk is about Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), and the main focus is on proper medical supervision rather than trying for some quick solutions. Rogan focused on the carnivore diet while he also acknowledged the importance of carbohydrates for better performance. He also talked about the benefits of structured fitness training and planning workouts with better planning.

Ultimately, they both agreed on a balance between scene and personal experience, and along with the modern techniques, you can not neglect the traditional fitness training techniques.

2. Fitness Myths: Dr. Mike Israetel on Muscle Growth & Gym Anxiety

Dr. Mike Israetel often talks about prevalent fitness myths, and in this podcast, “The Diary of a CEO,” he disproves these statements with evidence-based guidance. Israetel talks about muscle growth specifically and says that to gain powerful muscle, you do not need to extend workout hours. Instead, it can be done with home workouts with minimal equipment. However, the most important thing is how you deal with the process and how consistent and honest you are with the purpose.

He focuses on overcoming the gym anxiety and external judgments. He logically talks about the science of muscle growth with optimal training practices and the benefits of proper warm-ups. He also talked about nutrition’s importance and advised a balanced diet over restrictive practices.

This podcast is one of the most recently popular talks between Dr. Mike Varshavski and Israetel. They start with the online misunderstanding in the fitness industry. They focused there is nothing like overnight change, like gaining anything you work hard, and the same goes with muscle fitness.

They focused more on exercise pills or steroids, and they agreed on its dark side. The main focus was the excessive interventions of pharmaceuticals in the fitness industry. Israetel also talks about the psychological and physiological risks of steroid usage. Throughout the conversation, they highlighted the importance of finding challenges for personal growth and the need for critical thinking in the face of growing fitness trends.

4. Is Getting Rich Harder Than a Six-Pack?

This episode with “The Iced Coffee Hour” is one of my favorite Mike’s podcasts. In this podcast with Graham Stephan and Jack Selby, Israetel talks about various aspects of fitness, health and technology involvement in the fitness industry.

The episode starts with a casual debate about what’s harder: getting rich or achieving a six-pack. Dr. Mike shares his first encounter with fast food after leaving the Soviet Union and critiques the common mindset of blaming life’s difficulties instead of taking action. He explains the connection between diet and mental health, discussing how nutrition influences mood and cognitive function.

The conversation then leads to stress and anti-aging problems and the role of future AI in fitness and muscle growth. You must check out this podcast as it explores many key health, fitness, and mental control aspects.

5. Fat Loss, Testosterone & The Truth About Semen Retention

This podcast with Jack Neel goes much deeper than you might think. Here, Dr. Mike Israetel talks much about fat loss, caloric deficit, protein consumption, testosterone, IQ, stem cell therapy, and much more.

But the best part is fitness drugs and semen retention during the training. He clearly explains that semen retention does not boost testosterone. However, poor sleep, wrong diet, and excessive use of steroids can affect it.

The episode reveals many aspects of daily life and ends with insights into motivation, gym discipline, and success, including Dr. Mike’s take on famous figures like Ben Shapiro and elite businessmen using TRT.

6. The Science of Fat Loss & Meal Discipline

Chris Williamson is one of my favorite YouTubers, but I loved him the most when he invited Dr. Mike Israetel to talk about getting shredded; without any doubts, Israetel went deeper into the philosophy of fat loss, tracking body weight, and adjusting the dietary intake.

He also highlighted nutrient management and balancing protein and carbohydrates. His main focus was to be disciplined and optimal during the meal strategies. He educated the regular meal intervals to manage hunger and energy levels.

As this podcast was more focused on fat loss and shredding your mass, he also advised that certain supplements can help in fat loss, but one should never neglect proper nutrition and exercise.

7. Obesity, Genetics & AI in Fitness

This podcast is very similar to the above podcast, but they both go deeper in different ways. In this podcast, Dr. Mike Israetel discusses obesity, genetics, social factors, and personal responsibility in a controversial yet scientific manner.

Many of us are victims of misunderstandings that obesity is more influenced by genetics, but Israetel emphasizes how much control individuals have over their weight, touching on the political and psychological implications of obesity.

He also talked about the AI’s influence in the fitness industry and how it helps in fat loss and losing your weight. He also emphasized on using the technology in a better way and how human pessimism often underestimates the rate of advancement.

8. Stress, Fatigue & Recovery – Dr. Mike Israetel’s Essential Advice

This podcast is a bit different from the normal podcasts of Dr. Mike Israetel. In this podcast with Chris Williamson, Israetel speaks more on stress management and personal recovery than gaining muscles or shredding your fat.

He spoke about the fact that people love me more when I talk about fitness and muscles, steroids, and other stuff, but this fact can not be neglected that stress management is the top priority. If you are going through a phase of fatigue and pushing your limits in any way, it will get worse.

He explained that stress and fatigue occur when muscles experience micro-damage, neurotransmitter reserves deplete, and hormones like cortisol rise while testosterone drops.

Along with many key points in this video, it explores that focusing on essential recovery tools is better rather than getting distracted by less effective solutions.

You must check out this podcast if you want to deal with stress and fatigue management.

9. Diet Sodas, Nicotine & Metabolism Myths

In this episode of The Jordan Harbinger Show, Dr. Mike Israetel clears the air between common misconceptions and the truth.

He focuses on the fact that diet sodas are harmful, explaining that there’s no substantial evidence to suggest they are worse than regular sodas. He spoke based on the logic that the artificial sweeteners in the diet sodas are not medically advised.

Along with diet sodas, he speaks about nicotine and caffeine addiction. He said that there is no doubt that excessive use of nicotine and caffeine can have bad effects, but if one uses this stuff in moderation, it can help to avoid negative effects.

In this episode, he also clarifies misconceptions about metabolism, including the overestimation of calories burned by muscle compared to fat.

If you want to learn about his thoughts about dysmorphia, muscle memory, and fat loss strategies using AI technology, you must check out this podcast.

10. Longevity Secrets: Diet, Sleep & Stress

Mike Israetel has many podcasts with Chris Williamson, but this podcast is much different than his other podcasts. In this episode, he talks about the concept of longevity, emphasizing both lifespan (mortality) and quality of life (morbidity).

Well, if you are obese, the next sentence can be harmful (seriously, not chilling), he said that “excess body weight and adiposity are significant factors that can reduce lifespan.”

This special podcast discusses various topics, including the impact of the environment, dieting principles, calorie restriction, muscle mass, sleep, daily activities, stress, relaxation, passionate engagement, and relationships on longevity.
